Owners Neil Graham [proprietor & creative director] and Wayne Sabados [proprietor & man of steel] together comprise an unbeatable team and offer a world class shopping experience in their latest endeavor, ‘metaphorhome’. In a past life, Neil worked as the Visual Presentation Director for Simpsons, Visual Creative Director for Alfred Sung and Director of Visual Presentation for Club Monaco. Somewhere along the way as well he ended up with a BA from the University of Toronto, and is trained in both Interior Design and Landscape Design via Ryerson University and the University of Guelph respectively. Wayne’s diverse background in fashion and retail took a somewhat different course and he worked in the world of Commercial and Business banking until retiring recently – presumably to spend more time at the shop! Their passion for Design is evident in everything they bring to the business.
metaphorhome is proud to be part of the Trent Hills and Warkworth business community and is very active in the Village of Warkworth, both in business and community events. Neil has donated his design talents to such projects as the ‘Warkworth Main Street Revitalization’ where he contributed Landscape Design and Project Management skills. He was also a member of the group that conceived of and created the ‘Art in the Park’ event that runs annually in Warkworth. The metaphorhome team has also given their Interior Design expertise to ‘The Bridge Hospice’ in Warkworth during its conception and construction. They are also proud sponsors of events including ‘Magic under the Stars’ and ‘Warkworth by Night’ – both local events in the Village. metaphorhome also supports the performance season at ‘Westben’, located in nearby Campbellford. Neil and Wayne have both proudly served on the Board of ‘Westben’ as well and have played host, in their home gardens, to the annual Westben Garden Gala.
metaphorhome is proud of the community it serves and are proud members of the ‘Warkworth Business Association’ and the ‘Trent Hills Chamber of Commerce’.
